Lingering

Went to Chipotle after work with a few friends. We just lingered outside for a bit mostly just sitting there and lingering around. It was good to allow life to slow down and just sit there. sit there and observe the world around. reflecting on what's happened...the story that Guy upstairs has revealed to me so far... most of all just lingering around and receiving peace. good stuff.

Friday Night - AfterPost

Just got back from church and man was today a blessed day. We had quite a few new faces show up as well as a few faces that we havent seen awhile. Praise God. I just pray that they all continue to come and come to know and witness the Lord more and more. Some of them don't speak or understand English that well, but it's all good. God will make a way and provide most definitely. It was great regardless of that barrier.
We did a little ice breaker in the beginning. We had each and every one of them introduce themselves and share what their favorite hobby was. We had Ya-Lee shout out she liked to sleep LOL. I told her to go hang out with Michelle and her friend because they liked to cook and bake. We also had a new lil brother who's probably 12 years old almost die of laughter. I don't really know what happened but he couldn't even tell us his name for about 5 minutes. He just had his eyes shut, hand over his mouth, and his breath on standby... cool kid though. Good times. Everyone had a great time hearing what everyone had to say with a little bit of love commentary going around if you know what i mean ;) heh. Glory to God man... there were people that liked to dance, make music, draw, cook...coook....bake...cook... and most importantly... cook!!! For serious! lol. Good times, good times...
The Songs we did today was "Bless His Name, Breathe, and Walk by Faith". it was great to hear all the voices lifted up in praise and worship to God. Very blessed myself to have witnessed and been part of the corporate worship. I pray that more will encounter the presence and love of God during worship. Good stuff and Glory to God on that.
The message was good. The messages following retreat have been great and have followed each other nicely. The Spirit seems to be giving the message on how to maintain the fire and momentum received from retreat by reiterating the basics of seeking/remaining in God through prayer and encountering His presence, receiving the LIVING Truth, and today's message on Fellowship.

    1 John 3:18
"Dear children, Let us not love each other with words and tongue, but with action and truth.

it was definitely a message to ponder about. For me, the first thing that came into mind about loving with words and tongue was encouraging each other... the next part about with action and truth... from what i understand now, loving someone in action and truth is lifting a person up in prayer and giving thanks to them. I believe that is the most powerful thing we can do for someone to back up our words and deeds of encouragement and/or service to one another.

    1 Timothy 2:1-4
"1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

Now at verse 3, it states that "this is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth." What's the truth? Jesus. Who's Jesus? God. What is God? God is Love(1 John 4:8) LOL so it goes in circles. Knowing Jesus is knowing Love and knowing Jesus is eternal life(John 17:3). With that said, the greatest love that we could ever give to another person is sharing about our relationship with and the love of Jesus Christ. How He's been so good to us regardless of who or what we've been. I believe that's what makes real fellowship. When we share Jesus all around by being His hands and feet and testifying for Him. Let's continue to spread the Gospel(Romans 10:9) and pray that all people be saved starting with our own family and friends amen?
